UPDATE: Accident Victim Allegedly Responsible for Assault RNC say a 39-year old man from Mount Pearl who was killed in a traffic accident Wednesday at the intersection of Columbus Drive and Canada Drive was allegedly responsible for an assault in Portugal Cove this week. Police have shut down a portion of that road to do a scene examination.

Fish Protest Halted at Promise of Meetings The protest at the provincial fisheries building on Strawberry Marsh Road is over.
